Vera
Harder Broker / Owner |
I
originally moved to Council in 1956. I have been licensed in real
estate since 1977. For 10 years I practiced real estate in Boise,
Idaho, owning and operating an office with five agents, before
returning to Council.
I have
lived in Council for 29 years. I previously owned and operated the
Starlite Motel in Council for over 20 of those years.
I have
four children who were all born and raised in Council and graduated
from Council High School. The four eldest of my twelve grandchildren
also graduated from Council High School and the others are currently
attending school here.
One of
my sons own and operate Council Valley Market, one of the two
local grocery stores in town. My oldest son has his own
business, which is remodeling, but specializes in custom
cabinets. My daughter-in-law is a Registered
Nurse and works at a Health Care Clinic in
town. She also owns a Fitness Center in
town. |

One of
my daughters and her husband now own and operate the Starlite
Motel. My other daughter's husband is
an Idaho State trooper. She also works for
the Idaho State Police.
We are
an ambitious family of entrepreneurs that continues to contribute to
the improvement and growth of the Council area.
I have
seen the gradual changes here. The continuing growth and interest in
the area is quite noticeable. It is easy to understand why people
have such a desire to live here. This area offers clear bright
skies, majestic mountains, fresh air, clean water, and safe, secure
living. It’s also a place filled with the friendliest, most helpful
people in the world. We ARE what America WAS. |

Wendy Schultz
Sales
Associate |
My husband and I moved to Council in 1999 from a
small town in Washington. We have lived in small towns
all of our married life. We were drawn to Council
because it has all the qualities we wanted, good
neighbors and friends. We love falling asleep listening
to the coyotes howling and waking to the birds singing.
We raise Quarter horses and hay on our property in the
Goodrich area.
My husband recently retired after
30 years with the USFS as a wildlife biologist. Our 3
sons have all graduated from Washington State University, with
2 of them Doctors of Veterinary Medicine.
Now that my family is raised and
my husband is home to run the ranch, I am starting my real
estate career. I would like to help others discover the
quality of life they can have in the Council area. Let
me help you find your place in the
country. |
